• Why We Give

“St. Andrew's has become so many things for us and our children—from a safe haven, to a place to learn and grow. Most recently it's been a place for our kids to invite friends. Pledging to our faith home each year is a choice we are proud of.”

  • Why We Give

“St. Andrew's has been our church home for nearly 20 years. We love that the church is living out its Mission Statement by giving us Worship which feeds our souls, Acceptance which pleases our hearts and Service which inspires our minds. In our many activities at St. Andrew's, we receive as much or more than we give; so it has been our pleasure to be able to give back in Stewardship.”

  • Why We Give

“We live in Chicago most of the year, but now that we're in Encinitas for a few months at a time, we have declared St. Andrew's our 'home away from home.' We appreciate the kindness and generosity of the parish community in many ways, providing relief for homelessness and addressing income inequality challenges. Within a few visits, we felt so welcomed and inspired that we completed a 2023 pledge form, and we plan to renew our commitment for 2024 soon.”

Fall 2024

As soon as the beautiful icon image was unveiled to us at our 10th anniversary party, we knew the Mustard Bush would become part of our annual pledge campaign. The birds—in their different species, colors and sizes—represent well the wonderful mix of people in God’s beloved community. Through our initiatives over the past year, the leadership of St. Andrew’s has shown that—whether during worship, through our care for our neighbors who have less than they need, or during our children’s and family programming—we are welcoming, accepting, and affirming. The St. Andrew’s community sees Christ in all people and offers everyone a sanctuary of love and service, in the midst of challenging times.

This year—more than ever—we need your prayers and financial support so that we can continue our commitment to share the good news that, in God, there is a dwelling place for all. Though we might not think of a church as a business, we are required to be faithful stewards of our resources. That requires covering the rising costs of utilities, facility maintenance, salaries, and healthcare. Although we haven’t yet finished this year, your pledge of financial commitment for 2025 allows us to plan next year’s budget. We invite you to prayerfully consider how your household will support—in time, talent, and/or treasure—our varied and vital ministries. We believe that, together, we can meet our goal of $590K.

With gratitude from your Stewardship Committee:
